“Making the time and space to actively and empathetically listen to patients is critical for good medical outcomes as well as identifying the root cause of illnesses.”

Meeta Nguyen, M.D.

Dr. Nguyen (New-Yen) received her Medical Degree from The University of Utah School of Medicine and completed her residency at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has experience working with an internationally diverse patient population and also many patients with dual diagnoses such as mental illness and substance abuse. Her focus is addressing psychological, social and physical determinants of illness early on and providing compassionate and culturally competent care.

In her free time, Dr. Nguyen attends Mind-Body Medicine workshops including the ones sponsored by Herbert Benson at Harvard Medical School and has completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program with Jon Kabat-Zinn at University of Massachusetts. She enjoys incorporating these ideas when addressing obesity, hypertension, chronic pain, anxiety/depression, insomnia and cardiac disease. She has most recently attended a workshop on providing inclusive care for LGBTQ patients and is familiar with some local and online resources for these clients.

Dr. Nguyen is now accepting new patients 18years and older.
