“In Family Practice, we are better able to respond to the needs of the total patient because we have an eye on the health and history of the whole family.”

- Lisa Zachert

Lisa Zachert , PA-C

Lisa Zachert is one of Chelmsford Family Practice’s physician assistants. One role of the physician assistant is to educate patients and help them understand and control their own treatment; a second is to diagnose and treat patients who need routine care or need to be seen when sick. Much like a doctor, physician assistants are licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to prescribe medications and order necessary medical tests.

Lisa’s work often involves prescribing medication, appropriate diet, exercise and therapy. She performs school and camp physicals, sees and treats sick patients, performs annual gynecological exams with pap smears and orders mammograms.

Prior to joining CFP in 1998, Lisa provided care for the patients at the Salem Family Health Center for 12 years. She is particularly proud of the pediatric patients she has cared for from birth through adolescence into adulthood.
